Hook guard — third revision
The clip that grips the hook bend instead of the point. Two revisions were needed before it stopped popping off in the cold.

The shapes below are a principle sketch of how it is built, not the finished part. The 3D model goes up once the revision is locked.
How it works
The first version was a simple cap that sat over the hook. It fell off in a pocket, and at minus ten it went so stiff that it split when pushed on.
The third revision moved the grip from the point to the bend, where there is most material to hold. The inside got a clamping rib, and wall thickness came down to 1.2 mm so the TPU keeps its spring at low temperatures.
What I learned
Cold is the real test, not salt water. Anything used with mittens has to go on one-handed — and that dictates the geometry more than anything else.
