A fixed price where I can tell you what the job is. An hourly rate where we do not know yet. No hidden mark-ups, and you get an estimate before you order.
A part with known measurements, a run with a known quantity, a model from a drawing you already have. You get one price and it holds. If the job grows because something turned out different, you hear from me before I spend the time.
Fault-finding, measuring in the field, development that will change along the way, and anything that starts with "can you have a look at this". The rate is 2,700 kroner an hour. I bill actual time, not started hours, and you hear from me as we approach what we agreed.
You are buying direct, with no consultancy in between and nobody taking a margin for sitting in the same room. What you pay for is twelve years with your hands in equipment that fails underwater, a printer running the same evening, and the fact that I can test the part at sea rather than in a spreadsheet.

Hourly work is billed from four hours. Below that I cannot get properly into the problem, and neither of us gains from it.
Travel is billed at half the hourly rate, with mileage at the standard state rate. Materials and purchases are added at documented cost. Everything is stated up front.
Prices are stated excluding VAT. If VAT liability applies it is added, and it will be stated on the quote you receive.
Everything is made by one person who is offshore for stretches at a time. You get a concrete lead-time estimate before ordering.
