Measuring board with size limits built in
A board where minimum sizes are permanent marks in the plastic, so measuring is fast and correct — even with mittens on.
The problem
A tape measure on a wet deck is impractical, and the limits get misremembered. The result is fish kept that should not have been, or fish released for no reason.
The fix
The board gets a stop at one end and a scale with clear marks. The idea is that the marks can be swapped as rules change — an insert scale rather than fixed embossing.
Still at sketch stage. I want input from more people before locking the design, and the wording has to make clear the board is an aid, not an authority.
