I measure the old part with calipers, redraw it and print it in ASA-CF. Load-bearing faces go into the XY plane, because the bond between layers holds only about half the strength the part has across them. A bracket that breaks, breaks along a layer laid the wrong way. Bolt holes take A4 stainless, and no brass inserts are fitted: brass against stainless in salt water is galvanic corrosion, and the part is gone in a season however neat it looks.
For now this is a prototype service. The first example of any model takes longer, because the measuring only happens once — if yours is already drawn, it is quicker and cheaper. The part carries no manufacturer's logo and is not sold as an original. It fits a named model, and that is all it claims.
The creep test on the bench is not a stated working load. These parts are not intended for downriggers, towing, lifting or other dynamic loads, and must not be used where a failure has safety consequences.
